ATTENDANCE
Don't forget the attendance policy outlined in the Student Handbook. In grades 9 through 12, according to Arizona state law, a student will lose credit for the semester after 9 absences. Several students enrolled last semester DID fail to receive credit because of excessive days of non-attendance.
Two weeks into this second semester, some students already had 3 or 4 absences! Keep track of those days! The school year won't be completed until May 27. Be in attendance every day, and don't fall behind in turning in your homework. If you do your work as you go along, there won't be that stress of catching up at the end of the year.
Of course, illness and emergencies are an exception. If you are sick, stay home and get well. But make sure that the school office receives a written notice stating the reason for your absence.
